Services at St John's in December

Sunday 3rd, 10.30am - Christingle Scout Parade & Advent

At this service all are invited to make their own Christingle (or watch others if you prefer).

The lighted candle represents Christ as the light of the world, bringing hope to people living in darkness.

Sunday 10th, 10.30am - Nine Lessons & Carols

Come along to this reflective service and hear nine readings from the bible re-telling the story of Jesus’ birth at the very first Christmas. The readings will be interspersed with singing some of our favourite Christmas carols.

Tea, Coffee, cakes, and chat. Everyone Welcome - followed by...

Sunday 17th, 4.00pm - All Age Nativity with Carols (Note afternoon time)

A unique chance to come and see the dramatised nativity story but with a modern day musical theme.

This service is interactive so there will be opportunities to volunteer to take part in the service for whatever age you are. The church will be beautifully illuminated too with dramatic lighting. We will also sing Christmas carols which will be accompanied by our worship band. The service lasts no longer than an hour. Do join us if you can.
